I am thrilled that Laurie Raymond, a Shining Light mom who has experienced the passing of a child through a miscarriage, will be helping our parents in Helping Parents Heal, Inc.  She found us through Fara Gibson and asked to work with us. 

She is a psychotherapist for an agency in Mesa called Family Strategies Counseling Center.  She has worked there for about 10 years now. She assists clients in their efforts to reduce symptoms of PTSD (shock, numbness, depression, hypervigilance, irritability, anger, grief, nightmares, etc.) 

She is trained in level 1 and level 2 of EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing, which is a trauma treatment modality that involves neuroscience. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, which is another form of treatment used to heal symptoms of PTSD and involves neuroscience as well.

More importantly, she is a mama and firmly believes in the Afterlife.  Like us, she is a huge fan of Fara Gibson.
