John, Mara, & Sabrina Navaretta  

John & Mara Navaretta are Affiliate leaders for the North Shore on Long Island, NY. John & Mara have 3 children. Sabrina, their youngest, left to Spirit on April 28, 2023 by car accident as a passenger while a Freshman at the University of Delaware.

John is a retired firefighter with FDNY and an attorney. Mara owns a Residential Real Estate Company, Homes By Mara Realty. John & Mara work together in the training & support of their 75 Real Estate agents.

Our lives were forever changed the night of the accident and our hearts were shattered. We took to the internet to find therapists and bereavement groups but none seemed to fit what we needed.

A “brave Mom” who knew about the accident because her daughter attended UD, reached out to us to see if we needed to talk. Her son passed in an accident just a couple years before. She introduced us to the concept of the afterlife and HPH. It was a lifesaver…

We had never really thought about what happens when we pass on but our current situation shattered us and cracked us wide open. We were so eager to learn that we were on Zooms several nights a week with HPH. We felt after a year that we needed to give back and offered to become Affiliate leaders and run in-person HPH meetings.

We have gained so many beautiful relationships in the last 11 months since we started the meetings. We have 54 local parents in our group and a consistent 15 attendees at each meeting.

HPH has been a blessing in our lives. Because of our belief that Sabrina is still here, it helps us to move forward and help others in the Community.
