Gavin/Topiary of Dried Roses/Stacks of Gavin's Books/Kathi Behrens
Thanks for all you do and for making this a possibility for me.  Here is a list of validations from my son, Gavin, through Kathi Behrens on July 30th:
  • A son
  • The name "John" (Gavin's Dad)
  • Unexpected transition (yes, and also at a distance away from me)
  • Very smart (yes, Gavin was literally a "genius")
  • Books/liked to study (Gavin LOVED books and learning, and began reading at an early age. I had several stacks of his books on a shelf above my head during the reading)
  • Me handling his books (I had recently unpacked some of his books after moving and put them on the shelf I previously mentioned.)
  • Would bring me flowers (Yes, I have several dried, hand-picked "bouquets" framed in my home. I also have a small topiary made of dried roses that Gavin bought for me with money I had given him to buy himself a toy (pic attached))
  • Gavin playing piano (Gavin wanted to learn to play piano, as I do, and had purchased a keyboard shortly before his passing to try and learn)
  • Pics of Gavin somewhere in front of me (Yes, I had one small pic directly in front of me that sits on my desk, and three more on the wall in front of me!)
  • Animals/Cats (Gavin loved animals and had a special connection with his adopted cat, Cassie. In fact, he met her at the shelter, and then just had to go back the next day and get her because he said he "had made a connection" with her. Cassie passed a few years after Gavin.)
  • Philosophy (Gavin was a philosopher and loved philosophy and thinking) I am attaching a photo of his favorite philosophy book, "Sophie's World" which was also above my head during the reading, with a stack of both of our books together.
  • Music (Gavin and I both love music, and he loved to share music with me that he had a connection to)
I'm sure I missed some things, but thank you again, this was a wonderful experience.
