Patti May and her beautiful son Adam

My name is Patti May and I am an HPH Affiliate Leader in Ottawa, Canada along with my co-leader Andrea Courey of Montreal who also does sound healing. 

My 17 year old son Adam received his wings to the spirit world after a tragic car accident in 2006. 

He appeared to me the night he passed, he was sitting on my feet at the foot of my bed. He appeared again 2 years later standing right in front of me looking into my eyes with his radiant smile. He looked so beautiful and happy. He didn’t say a word but I could feel his powerful love blowing up my heart. 

After seeing him with my own eyes, I have never been more sure of anything in my life as I am that Adam happily lives on. My search to find him, like many of you began. I was looking for a loving connection with him any way he could show up now that he was in spirit. Like so many of your children, he certainly surprised me with his many brilliant ways of coming through. My connection with him filled me with hope and lifted me in ways I have no words for.

Early on, I reached out to other parents and support groups to share my miraculous connections and experiences with but so many couldn’t understand or relate to my experiences. When I came across HPH and was welcomed with Elizabeth and the group’s warm and loving embrace I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. Helping Parents Heal was where I belonged, I found hope, connection and healing here. I met so many shining light parents who also had amazing connections with their children in spirit. Their connections gave me hope and healing as well. Our children led us here and are working together through us and showing up in ways we could never have dreamed of.

Being part of such a loving, hopeful, caring group with one of the brightest lights Elizabeth at our helm has been absolutely life changing for me. Later on I asked Elizabeth if I could start a HPH group here in Canada and she welcomed us in with open arms. We began the first Affiliate group in Canada. Many beautiful shining light parents showed up with their children including Andrea Courey from Montreal. Our children brought us together and at one of our meetings Andrea invited us to share our children’s lives with her as she was inspired to write her book “Magical Thinking not!”  I am so thankful to each of these wonderful parents and our amazing children for being here for each other!  

Recently the most wonderful opportunity came up to become an HPH Affiliate Director with my incredible team Kathy MacMannis and Rosanne Norris. This chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. 

We have the good fortune to meet so many resilient shining light parents who would like to become Affiliate Leaders. We hear inspirational stories of children leading their parents here to become HPH Affiliate Leaders and help other parents. It takes courage, a caring heart and hope to reach out to help other parents and we are in awe and so thankful for all of you.
