Bill is just an ordinary guy who has had extraordinary things happen to him since the passing of his son Greg. Susan writes it all down. The Calgary, Canada affiliate leaders are on an amazing journey with their son. 
IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE
'It's all about love.' We hear that phrase a lot in our journey with Helping Parents Heal, but what does that really mean? We know what it feels like to love our children, we know we're supposed to love ourselves, but love might also be the most overused word in our modern language. We "love" all kinds of things, like ice cream, and that can cause the word to lose some of its power. And based on what we as Shining Light Parents have been through, it's easy to understand why a belief in love can be shattered here on this very challenging planet called Earth. 
 
When we discover that the whole point of our soul's journey is love, and our Universe runs and expands on love, it's a word and a feeling and an action that takes on incredible importance, and it's worth exploring.  
 
Our son Greg has tackled the topic of love numerous times since he passed 8 1/2 years ago. Just recently, Bill woke up in the middle of the night from a dream about me writing an article about love for the local newspaper. Bill was writing down the details of the dream, and while he was writing, Bill heard Greg say he wanted to talk about love. We know our children in spirit are in a place where they are surrounded by love, so they have a much more clear view of what love means than those of us in human bodies. Here's what Greg told his Dad: 
 
"Love is such a beautiful feeling and response to all that is happening to us, both here and where you are on Earth. We all look for and want love but very few of us are capable of living in love in such a way that it overrides all things as a method of expressing oneself. We learn from a young age to not trust ourselves and others and love takes a back seat. 
 
"We must learn again that love is why we exist in the first place, and that we are here to express our Creator's intense obsession with love in all we do. To do otherwise is a disservice to why we are, so we learn bit by bit, if we're fortunate, to take baby steps again, learning to trust ourselves and love again as we were designed to do.
 
"It is everything to be able to love in a manner that makes us a complete expression of the One. It is a feeling so powerful that love expressed in its truest form brings one to your knees in ecstasy and complete surrender to this purest form of feeling. Love is the only reason to be. Love is, and because it is, we are."
 
Greg has also told us that the highest form of love is loving yourself, and you can learn to do that by raising your awareness of who you are, our true selves: pure love. Greg says, "Love starts with you, recognizing that you are an extension of the One, and since He/She is love, you are love, and if you can reduce your ego to nothingness, what's left is love.
 
"Love is a feeling, but it's also an action. Love in action is joy, gratitude, and forgiveness. You must consciously choose to love in all that you do. You inherently know what is love and what is not loving. No behavior can be rationalized if it is not loving. To not choose love in all your responses is harmful to you because it doesn't elicit the highest vibration. To act in a loving way is the most loving thing you can do for yourself. Even High Masters when reincarnated on Earth would always question themselves as to whether their behavior was loving to themselves and others."
 
It turns out there's an easy way to gauge whether or not you are aligned with love: How are you feeling? When you feel good, you are allowing love to flow into your life.
 
Greg understands how challenging it is to live in this world and behave in a loving way all the time. By understanding that we are both human and Divine we can have compassion for how difficult it is to allow the love you are to flow through you and to choose love in all circumstances. "Live it, love it, feel it, be it. Always remember, it is why we all are, and why we are all here. No words can adequately describe the feeling of love, but we all know it because we have all felt love. It truly conquers all. Love is your trump card. Play it. Love is eternal, and you are love."
 
It truly is all about Love. Choose Love.
