Hello, everyone! Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Rosanne Groover Norris, and Patti May in welcoming the newest member of our team, Tammy Wagoner-Patrick, who will be joining Kelley Worth to create our HPH - New Member Welcome group, which will be meeting once a month! We are grateful to have Tammy helping us.
Tammy Patrick
I am blessed with two children: my son Lucas and my daughter Ali, who now walks with me in spirit. October 2023, our lives were forever altered when Ali transitioned by suicide at the age of 23. On day 3 of 13 days in the ICU, I felt the gentle whispers of my guides and Ali herself, saying it was her path, urging me to honor her journey. This lightened the unbearable anguish I felt inside, allowing me to begin my healing process. I continue to feel Ali's presence, as she remains my best friend and teacher by the love and compassion she shares with me and the world. I am amazed by the signs and connections along with the charity of the blessings that have emerged from this experience. While I always felt her presence, I acknowledge that this is difficult, and we require time to adjust to such a heartbreaking change.
HPH has become an essential part of my healing journey through providing important tools for my growth. Connecting with other parents who understood my experience and shared my beliefs helped me navigate the darker days and brought light when I struggled to find my own. In memory of our daughter, we are carrying on Ali's conversation through our nonprofit, which is committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.
Kelley Worth
Kelley is a classically trained mental health clinician. She practiced for 20 years in various group practices, inpatient and outpatient programs. She offered support and healing to families and adolescents in individual sessions and group work. When she and her husband were blessed with a child, she retired. They moved to North Carolina to live a more sustainable lifestyle and Kelley chose to be a stay at home mom. Rob and Kelley had 16 years of love, life and adventures with their daughter ~ Aleia Jade. In May of 2022, Aleia transitioned herself to seek relief from PTSD and depression. In the wake of the pain of their only child, their vibrant daughter leaving, she started searching for answers about “what happens next?” In that journey she was led to find Suzanne Geisemann and her work, which lead to finding Helping Parents Heal. This is where her healing began. Learning to live in her grief and learning to strengthen her soul connection to her beautiful daughter. It is the continuing support and proof that HPH offers that led me to want to start a group in our area.
