Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Rosanne Groover Norris and Patti May in welcoming the newest member of our team, Hope Duffy of Stanislaus County, CA! We are grateful you have joined us.
From Hope:
Hello, I’m Hope Duffy and I have been married to my loving husband Jeff for the last 32 years. I have been blessed with 4 beautiful children and 7 grandchildren. Our youngest daughter Gabby transitioned by suicide in January 2023 at the age of 27. Three months earlier at our second daughter’s wedding, a guest had commented on how loving and inspiring our family was and my first thought was, “please don’t jinx us”. I thought it strange that it would be my first thought after such a compliment. But in my soul, I can now say that I knew we were headed towards a devastating loss. In Gabby’s goodbye letter, the last line she wrote to me was, “I’ll forever shine in every way within you.” So when I found HPH and read that they call us Shining Light Parents, I knew I was meant to be here. Gabby later confirmed in a medium reading that she led me to HPH.
I have fully committed myself to the healing process through inspired writing, reading, attending support groups, praying, meditation and more. I have come to understand that Gabby remains with me in everything I do and there is so much healing in that. Do I still have bad days? Absolutely! But with the love and support of so many I’m able to get through those bad days and I hope to make Gabby proud by also sharing the same love and support to my community.
