Catherine Prescott and Austen / Carla Sloan
Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Patti May and Rosanne Groover Norris as we welcome our newest Affiliate Leaders in Miami! Catherine Esposito Prescott and Carla Kaufman Sloan will be holding their first meeting on October 27th!
Welcome to our team of healing volunteers!
Catherine Prescott:
I am a poet, yoga philosophy teacher, and, most recently, a shining light parent. I’m a mom to Connor, Austen, and Celia. My middle child, Austen (f18), left the body on 8/3/23 at 11:23AM after facing a rare pediatric brain cancer, DIPG/DMG. Austen began sending signs and communicating with us as he was leaving the body. It was a heart-breaking, heart-opening, mystical, and very sacred experience. Shortly after, I connected with a medium, and then a few more, who brought through Austen brilliantly. These readings gave so much peace and healing to me and my family. I have moved from studying and teaching the continuation of consciousness (yoga philosophy) to experiencing it firsthand (mediumship). In other words, I’ve made the leap from hoping and believing to knowing. I look forward to holding space for parents with children in spirit and walking alongside them during their journeys.
Carla Sloan:
A mother of two sons, one in the physical and one in spirit, Carla Kaufman Sloan joined the world of shining light parents in 2014 when her son Calder transitioned suddenly. The accident occurred in their home swimming pool due to faulty high-voltage lighting. Reeling in shock and grief, Carla did not know where to turn until her son, Calder, made his presence known to her and blew the door-to-more wide open.
Since that day Carla has been a believer and like many of you, a voracious student of the afterlife and continued consciousness. The signs are plentiful and the joy of connecting is on-going. Carla is grateful to be able to share all these experiences with this like-minded community filled with love.
