Hello, wonderful Parents! Please join me and the whole Affiliate Director team in welcoming our newest Co-Affiliate Leaders, Annie Adams and Kory O'Rourke! They will be leading a group for Parents of 2SLGBTQIA+ Rainbow Kids.
Hi, I'm Annie (she/they)!
I am mom to Ben (21) and Zenzi, a foREVer 15 year old. Zenzi transitioned March 30, 2018 from complications from leukemia diagnosed just 4 days earlier. Amongst the tears, shock and disbelief, I was always open to the signs sent and received from Spirit. Each of us are on our own personal journey yet realize it is through love and connection that we will heal and create peace as we live out our days in Earth School. It is my goal to create safe, open and inviting spaces for parents to connect with each other, to connect with Spirit and to learn more about what it truly means to be a Shining Light Parent.

Hi, I’m Kory (she/they)!
I am one of the co-leaders of the Parents of 2SLGBTQIA+ children. I identify as queer, and cis-ish.
My beautiful and creative 17yo daughter Keaton (they/them) transitioned on January 21st, 2023 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose that happened at home. Our family was thrown into shock and overwhelming grief. I was extremely lucky to find Helping Parents Heal early in my journey. Before Keaton's passing, I did not believe in much about the afterlife. However, our family has experienced so many undeniable signs, synchronicities, and sweet messages from our Keaton that I can no longer disbelieve that our children are here, caring for us, always.
I am a teacher with experience supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ students and their allies, DEIB, anti-racism, and social justice. I'm an adjunct professor (where I teach people who want to be teachers about teaching), and a CMI (Certified Mindfulness Instructor). I am also a survivor of significant childhood trauma.
In my free time, you can find me puzzling, writing, crocheting, or embroidering, cheering for my 16yo son Korbyn (he/him) in all his endeavors, and helping my husband Roan (he/him) chase our two misbehaved dogs down the beach.
