I am a writer, creative writing teacher and, a freelance clinical hypnotherapist based in Dubai, UAE. My husband, Suresh and I are originally from India. Our only child, our daughter, Sakshi (F16) crossed the veil on 6th July 2022. She was and continues to be the centre of our lives and we try and live our lives to the fullest to honour her and her wishes.
I have always been spiritual, an optimist and a learner, but Sakshi's year and a half long battle with cancer and her passing over, sent me on a journey of self-discovery and learning that blew my mind and sense of self, wide open. I am still in the initial stages of my learning.
I keep busy with my writing, managing the Sakshi's Joy Foundation, and small freelance clinical hypnotherapy practice. UAE doesn't have an organisation or a support group for assisting parents on this journey. I hope that HPH Dubai (UAE) will provide other parents in this region the comfort and hope that only a fellow shining light parent can.
