Regina and Jon Homan's Validations through Lisa Wilcoxson

My wife Regina went to the Helping Parents Heal Second Conference last August and she got so much out of the meeting and the venue she wanted to come back to the peacefulness of the Sheraton.  We are back in right now for the celebration of Jonathan’s 26th birthday.

Coincidentally there was a HPH meeting on March 19th at a local venue which we were able to attend.  This was my first interaction with HPH.  And what a good one it was.  Starting with Lisa Wilcoxson, the guest speaker, to the others attending the meeting, everyone was welcoming and kind.

I enjoyed listening to Lisa relay the words of the people she communicated with to their family members seated around the room.

Then she stepped to the middle of the room, looked down, and said Jonathan asked for her to talk with him next.  And he went on for what seemed like an hour.  Talking through Lisa about some clothes of his that we gave to his cousin, telling us we sent the right ones.  Saying the word Albertsons, telling Lisa we would know what it means.  The previous day we were trying to find a grocery store and there were two – Albertsons and Safeway.  Regina chose Safeway but what is kind of funny is that her dads and Jonathan’s middle name is Albert and her dad worked at Safeway. And he finished by telling her about a chair we left out for him.  It is on the side of the house.  He told us that if we ever need to talk to him, we just need to go to that chair.

It was clear that Lisa was speaking with Jonathan and we can’t thank Lisa enough for using her gift to help these parents heal.
