On May 2, 2024, I participated in a gallery reading with Shelly Wilson for Helping Parents Heal, when my daughter and best friend Ali (who transitioned at age 23) connected with us. Shelly and I had worked together before, allowing for a direct connection. Shelly began by mentioning that Ali was symbolically ringing a bell. This resonated with me as a sign that her Aunt Amy, who had recently been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, would ring the bell of being cancer-free. The next morning I was taking her to her first treatment. This visual provided comfort during this uncertain and challenging time. Ali had a significant bond with her Aunt Amy.
Ali also said "We did it"... "We hit the goal" and she was referring to an event we did for a nonprofit organization Ali initiated before she passed for mental health awareness. I am keeping her dream alive by continuing Surf the Earth MHC (Mental Health Community).
Ali guides and encourages me to expand and enhance this initiative by setting ambitious goals, which Shelly further validated. Ali only had a five-month struggle with mental health, so we are raising awareness about how mental illness is real and to stop the stigma. I truly believe that this was our purpose and the reason why things unfolded the way they did.
Shelly also mentioned the connection to deer and Ali often sends signs through deer, which symbolize her presence when I need comfort the most. Throughout the summer before her passing, we encountered deer daily during our walks, and they continue to bring me solace when I require it. Elizabeth mentioned many deer surrounding her during the reading and I encountered the same thing just last week and many times prior. I knew that was part of Ali's message for me and Shelly validated that as well.
I know Ali sent me the signs to guide me to Helping Parents Heal and other impactful connections for my healing, One connection leads to another and I see the miracles as they unfold. Shelly Wilson is one of those important connections, she has a caring and healing energy and she is always spot on! I am grateful for the immense love and support this group has offered since Ali's transition in October 2023. It has been an important source of comfort and resources, providing me with valuable tools for my healing journey.
