Terry Petkau's Second Validation with her son Jake through Mitch Ott

My son Jake was piggybacking during the Gallery Reading with Mitch Ott on Nov. 26 (my birthday). He  recently piggybacked with Connie Fusella and Lisa Wilcoxson and also came through with Mitch Ott in September. I could identify with all of the following: 

Son, J-focused name, John, not able to say goodbye, sorry for what you had to hear, died very quickly, happened so quick, cremated, pond on property, by the lake, transition not that long ago, had his struggles, Wawa, goose, in a band, singing, music rocking in my head, somebody close to me has dementia, Rosalie, something happening with one of my legs, sharp pins and needles.

What sealed the deal was 'something with two wings.' Yesterday morning, the anniversary of learning of Jake's transition a year ago, I listened to the Nov. 26 YouTube clip. My brother and SIL, who arrived a couple of hours later, surprised me with the gift above. You can imagine my tears of joy!! 

This email isn't being sent with the intention of hoping it'll make the newsletter. I just wanted to share with you and Mitch and thank you both for the roles you are playing in transforming me from a grieving mom into a shining light parent!
