Bill is just an ordinary guy who has had extraordinary things happen to him since the passing of his son Greg. Susan writes it all down. The Calgary, Canada affiliate leaders are on an amazing journey with their son. 
ADVENTURES IN AUTOMATIC WRITING
Almost seven years ago, Bill was lying on the floor in our office while meditating and heard a directive from our son on the other side that was as clear as a bell: "Get up and write this down."
 
Bill got up, sat at his desk with a pen and paper, and Greg was off! What followed was a flowing stream of wisdom and guidance as Bill channeled Greg from his higher realm.
 
Bill discovered after our son passed almost 10 years ago that he could hear Greg talking to him in his head and communicate with him in extremely vivid dreams, but the messages we get while Bill is automatic writing is at a whole new level of astounding communication.
 
Bill's automatic writing abilities came very spontaneously and very unexpectedly. He has never sat down with the intention to automatic write, it just happens. Most often, Greg or one of Bill's other guides will start talking while he's meditating or just after he's finished a meditation. Sometimes, Bill will hear Greg start talking to him when he wakes up in the middle of the night. During the day, sometimes Bill will hear Greg say in his head, "Let's connect." Other times, Greg will open a desk drawer in our office  - sometimes while we're standing next to it! - to let us know he wants to talk.
 
In Bill's words, his automatic writing process is as simple as this: "I get into a relaxed state while meditating and listening to relaxing music, and this opens up my channel to the other side. I always have a pen and paper at hand, and I just let it flow. I don't 'think' about what I'm writing. I'm just blank. I'm just waiting to hear."
 
Bill writes what he hears for anywhere from five to 20 minutes. Greg gives his Dad a full dissertation, an effortlessly flowing message with a beginning, a middle, and an end that often involves beautiful turns of phrase and evocative language. "Sometimes Greg's message flows so fast I can hardly keep up with my writing." Greg always starts his communication with "Hi Dad!" or "Hi Dad! Hi Mom!" Bill knows Greg's communication has ended when he says, "Love, Greg."
 
Greg will sometimes use a word that his Dad has to spell phonetically and later look up its meaning because he's never heard it before. We know this is Greg proving to his Dad that the thoughts he's hearing are not his own, they're his son's. Bill is tapping into something far greater than his own mind.
 
"When I go back after you (Susan) have written it down and I re-read it, I go 'Wow! I wrote that?'"
 
He doesn't actually hear Greg's voice when he's automatic writing. Greg's communications come through to his Dad "like a thought when it comes into my head that's not attached to a voice, but I instantly know it's Greg." Bill's handwriting style doesn't change, and he doesn't feel that he's in a trance or out of his body when he's writing.

Bill says the most surprising thing about his automatic writing is, "The complexity of it, how detailed it can get. It's not just simple thoughts or words, and it's so varied with a huge variety of topics. I'm also surprised at the ease in which it comes. I had no idea I have this ability."

We often share what I came to call 'The Wisdom of Greg' with other Shining Light Parents in this monthly column, at our monthly Calgary HPH Zoom meetings, or on the HPH Facebook page, and it's just the tip of the iceberg of the guidance and information that our son gives us from the other side. Here's a recent message from Greg that we've not shared before:
 
"...Accept all that is as our Source, our God, shows you what it is that you need to learn at this moment and have gratitude for all your circumstances and what you experience. Pass on the knowledge of Oneness and forgiveness for those who are listening. And for those that aren't or can't, be an example of what we are all capable of becoming in the pursuit of peace and joy.
 
"Be the love you are and express that in all your glory, and the glory of the One, the One that you represent. Be the light and know that as you do this you will be the benefactor of all the goodness that exists in the world and the Universe created by the One, the light that represents true love.
 
"Love is the answer to everything. It is the reason why you exist and are here now. This can be a choice: express love. I struggled when I was on Earth. I am now trying to help as many as I can to try to release people from as much sadness and grief. We all suffer while here on Earth because it is not an easy place, but in all that suffering is hope that things will get better over time. That is what keeps us moving forward and on with our lives. The hope that we can be happy and joyful in the midst of hardship.
 
"Be as kind and loving as possible during your challenges and then find the joy buried amidst the tragic moments. It's all about joy and love and having as much fun as you can muster to make this journey a great learning experience and to leave this earthly plane in a better shape for having been here. After you cross the veil and are doing your review they do ask, 'What did you bring us?' Love, Greg."
