ALL SIGNS POINT TO A SPECIAL DELIVERY
When is a sign not a sign?
When you don't believe.
Some Shining Light Parents claim they receive very few or no signs at all from their child in spirit, and often find a way to blame themselves for the lack of communication.
Very shortly after our son Greg passed nine years ago, I felt compelled to write everything down that happens to us. I have now written down over 2,200 signs, because Greg is giving us a veritable smorgasbord of signs as he works on his communication skills on the other side.
I know what you're thinking...It's easy to say signs are everywhere when we've had what amounts to Sign-Palooza from our son! We don't know exactly why we receive so many; we accept it as the plan, and we're very grateful. We know one of the reasons is so we can share these signs with other Shining Light Parents to offer the hope that whether they hear from their children or not, there is no doubt that all of our kids in spirit are with us.
The incredible signs we get from Greg often play out over days and sometimes months and even years, in a magical, connected, unfolding story that proves he's behind it and he's having a lot of fun!
We don't spend much time anymore trying to figure out how he is able to do what he does, inserting himself and the very meaningful connections into our earthly plane for his Dad and I to experience. We just chalk it up to the realization that there's so much more happening here on this planet than we know.
One such event happened in mid-August of 2021. I had been looking for an inexpensive brown leather backpack for some time. I told Bill what I was on the hunt for, and he said he heard Greg say in his head, "Type the words 'brown leather backpack' into your computer," and up popped a sale on the perfect item.
I looked at the details and scrolled down the page to see that if you sign up for the retailer's e-mails you get an additional $30 off your first purchase. Greg knows I love a coupon!
Bill got the coupon code sent to his e-mail and as he wrote it down I was amazed to see this: 7GWG7GV. We learned soon after Greg passed that he communicates a lot with number 77. It was his high school football number as well as part of his e-mail address. Greg's full name is also Gregory William Van Oije, initials GWV, and each of those letters is contained in that code as well. But it gets even more amazing!
Almost three weeks later, on September 4, I got an e-mail from the delivery company letting me know that the backpack was to be delivered on September 7. That's Greg's Angelversary date! But on the same date that I got the expected delivery date e-mail, later in the day I got another e-mail saying that it had just been delivered. I was a little disappointed, because I had hoped the backpack would be delivered on his Angelversary and not three days before. I checked our front porch, and no backpack. I figured it had been delivered to the wrong address, so I checked some of the neighbors' front porches, and still no backpack.
Three days later, it's Greg's seventh Angelversary, September 7. Our neighbor who lives two doors down comes to our front door and in his hands he had, you guessed it, my backpack from Greg! It had been delivered to his house in error when he was out of town, and his daughter had brought the package into their house without looking at the address. From the other side, Greg, our delivery guy extraordinaire, delivered the package on time!
For those parents who feel they don't receive any signs from their child in spirit, our gentle advice to you is ask, be patient, and most importantly, believe. If you think for even a millisecond that what you are experiencing might be a sign, go with it! Don't talk yourself out of it. The Universe will respond to your excitement and gratitude and give you more.
