Cody Brooks, Anna Buckmaster, Elizabeth Dubois, and Kailee Savoie
Please join me in welcoming our newest Co-Affiliate Leader, Elizabeth Rose of the Helping Siblings Heal Affiliate Group! She joins Cody Brooks, Kailee Savoie, and Anna Buckmaster. We are thrilled to have such an active Sibling group! There are currently 998 members in the Facebook group, thanks to their consistent efforts to help siblings and families heal.
Cody Brooks
Cody Brooks lives in Cleveland area, Ohio. His brother Quin Hardon, passed away on January 24, 2017. Cody has grieved and has hurt, and has been working on healing, and it is no easy task. But can be done. It is a constant work in progress. There is no straight line in the loss of a loved one. He has good days, and he has heart-wrenching days. But nonetheless, he knows Quin is with him and his family, working with others who have passed over. And just like they are working together, helping us, we are also in this together. Cody couldn’t be more proud of those who helped him grow, and he hopes that he may help others grow along the way. If there is one thing he has learned in all of this, it is that we are not meant to do this alone.
Anna Buckmaster
Anna is an actress born in Surrey, UK. Her brother and only sibling Pete passed in 2014 in a car accident. Being left as an only sibling, she realized there were no support systems or communities, specifically for bereaved brothers and sisters, and struggled to find people in similar situations to confide in. After her parents joined Helping Parents Heal and gained a great deal of comfort in the community, she felt compelled to create a sibling branch of the group to allow a space for people to connect and talk openly about their experiences. She hopes that this group, as the first of its kind, will provide hope and comfort to those who are told to stay strong for others and often struggle alone.
Elizabeth Dubois
My name is Elizabeth DuBois - I live in central IL with my husband and two young children. My brother, Brennan, transitioned in November of 2020, and our older sister remains in our hometown, near St. Louis with her 2 kids. Navigating through this experience with grief has felt like a long journey - the tolerable days now outweigh the intolerable - but it’s only just begun. Connecting with Brennan through mediums has been indescribably helpful; it has eased my anxiety about his state of well-being tenfold and I am eternally grateful for mediums and the work they do. I hope to be able to connect shining light siblings to reliable mediums so others can feel the same sense of relief I now have.
Kailee Savoie
Kailee Savoie is a shining light sibling, sister of Garrett, living in Hawaii. She is a Mind Body Wellness Practitioner specializing in Yoga (she really loves teaching Kids & Family Yoga), Holistic Nutrition, Clinical Aromatherapy, and is a Reiki Master. You can usually find her hiking (when the weather is nice), reading, collecting crystals, and spending time with her "soul" family she has met through Helping Parents Heal and Helping Siblings Heal.
